We interviewed Family Vermeulen-De Fauw From West Vlaanderen, Belgium with their pets, Roro and Tseetsee!
Tell us about Roro and Tseetsee!
“2 beaucerons, French sheperd dogs, not a well known breed, big strong independant headstrong dogs.”
Where did you meet Roro and Tseetsee?
"After a very long search we found the perfect breeder, they only have 1 breed a year, so we had to wait another year on the waiting list, but that's ok, it insured us that we made the right decision, gave us plenty of time the prepare ourselves for a puppy, and we didn't make the decision light heartedly."
Who are you? What are you about!
“We are an adventurous couple, no kids, a love for nature and all animals, who likes hiking, our dogs and cat and chickens.”
Tell us a story!
“Roro, our male, 3 years, loyal, proud fearless dog, a true protecteur, has been since he was a little pup, when we went to the dogpark, and there was a fight between 2 other dogs he would come in and play the police, and keep everyone save. Tseetsee, girl, 1 year, naughty, loving, bundle of joy, she has a very strong personality, fearless and crazy about her brother.”
What do you think it means to be a pet? What is a pet's purpose in this life?
“They are the love of our life, we are so very blessed to be able to take care of them, we can't have children, so they are our children to us.”
How does your pup spark joy in your life?
"Just be being there every day, the way they are happy to see us every time, even when we have only been out for 10 minutes, the unconditional love, when you are looking good or bad they don't care, they just love.”
What do you think are the most pressing issues that are in the pet industry today?
“Puppy Mills”
Do you think it's more important to talk about the issues or act on them?
"Both. Conversate and discuss to other humans about the issues and Volunteer or donate to help the animals out there in need.”
