What’s Your Story?
“I love him more than anything, and especially in the pandemic...he keeps me sane.”
“We live in Chicago on the north side near Wrigley field. He sparks joy for me because he is always happy and energetic. He is obsessed with fetch and has a favorite toy he carries around the house. I love to dress him up and am building his collection of pocket squares to add to his cuteness, it makes him popular in the neighborhood.”
“When I was in my senior year of college, I stayed at University over the Christmas holidays because I had to work. After 3 weeks on an empty campus and in a roommate free apartment I was lonely! I went to the ASPCA to “just look” at the dogs and take one for a walk. It is that day that I met Fiction. He was so tiny and skinny, they found him on the street abandoned. He was also the only dog not barking and sitting quietly in a corner, he was meant to come home with me! I never had a dog growing up, but that day I took home my first pooch. We immediately went to the pet shop so I could get a crate and leash and collar as well as food. I sent a photo to my mom when I got home and had him setup. Her response “you know that dog will be around when you get married, have kids, etc” and here we are 11 years later and Fiction has been my best friend along the way. Through multiple cities, jobs, boyfriends and now a husband...he's seen it all.”
Thank you for sharing your story during this crazy time. During this pandemic we agree, our own personal doggo Tokio keeps us sane as well. Happy and energetic dogs that love fetch, you can't ask for anything better. You story with Fiction is like a work of fiction, love how you guys have been together for a great 11 years. Thank you for sharing your story! We hope this will Spark someone to go out and make a difference in an animal’s life. We are so lucky to have doggies in our life!
