Tell us about Xena!
" Xena is a one-year-old Staffie x ridgeback that we rescued on February the 1st. She’s very energetic and playful and really clumsy! Xena has the biggest heart in the world and is almost always having cwtches or being spoilt!”
Who are you? What are you about!
“We decided that rescuing a dog/puppy was a better option for us as we would prefer to give a dog a second chance at life than buy a puppy.”
Where did you meet?
" We rescued Xena from dogs trust in Bridgend.”
Tell us a story!
" Xena is a very energetic and clumsy pup and this means she is forever making us laugh. Sadly Xena was taking to the vets to be put down by the previous owner. Thankfully the vets got in contact with the rescue and we were lucky enough to be the first ones to see our big bundle of joy! as soon As we seen Xena in her kennel we fell in love and the rest is history, Xena now has an easy life relaxing on our bed and having as much fun as she likes.”
What do you think it means to be a pet? What is a pet's purpose in this life?
“A pet is the perfect companion. We’ve found that no matter what sort of day you’ve had or what mood we are in, we just cannot help but smile and laugh with Xena! She really has made us closer and allowed us to start our “family”.”
How does your pup spark joy in your life?
“Xena is forever making us giggle with her little personality traits, such as tilting her head and listening to the tv, being silly with her toy bone and army crawling onto the bed as if we don’t notice!”
What do you think are the most pressing issues that are in the pet industry today?
"Puppy Mills”
Do you think it's more important to talk about the issues or act on them?
"Both”
