Interview With Eileen and Watson Belvedere

We interviewed Eileen From Chicago, USA with his dog, Watson Belvedere!

Tell us about Watson Belvedere!
Watson is a sensitive, independent ‘little man’, clever and quick to pick up on commands, but will respond depending on his mood, as his characteristic of his breed—Tibetan Terrier. Aside from walkies, he loves training time with momma (likely because he gets treats), and TT funTTime when he gets to play with dad and do zoomies.

Where did you meet Watson Belvedere?
We contacted the breeder in Illinois thinking we’d have to wait a long while, but she sent a photo right away saying she has a pup and it was him. It was love at first sight. We met her to pick him up at a hotel by O’Hare Airport.

Who are you? What are you about!
I had a past life in the corporate world, but I currently do calligraphy.

Tell us story!
Whenever we have to leave the house without him, we tell Watson to go to his crate. He disobeys the first time, doing a run around the couch or bed depending which room he’s in, but the second time he’ll head to his crate willingly and lie down. He just has to show his disapproval/protest but he knows what to do and does it in the end.

What do you think it means to be a pet?  What is a pet's purpose in this life?
A pet is a companion to its human, to be showered with love and affection.

How does Watson Belvedere spark joy in your life?
Watson encourages me to get out of the house and see the world around me anew, even the surroundings I see daily. Whenever he looks up at me during our walks with a smile on his face, I feel so lucky to be his dog mom.

What do you think are the most pressing issues that are in the pet industry today?
Puppy Mills

Both. Conversate and discuss to other humans about the issues and Volunteer or donate to help the animals out there in need.
Thank you for sharing your story! We hope this will Spark someone to go out and make a difference in an animal’s life. We are so lucky to have doggies in our life!
