How We Met ♥ Feat. @chicagoromeo

I had been looking for the right dog for a long time. And then during the pandemic, I got a lot more serious about it. Looking all over the Chicago area at different rescues. I saw a dog that seemed perfect at @chicagocaninerescue but he got matched with someone else pretty quickly. I was so bummed.

Luckily, they wanted to know more about what I was looking for in case someone else came along. A couple days later they reached out and told me they thought they found my perfect match. I went in as soon as I could. It was love at first sight.

I named him Romeo - and the rest is history. He’s pretty perfect. He sparks joy in my life every day. From immediate snuggles first thing every day, to making strangers smile and laugh every time we’re out on a walk, to making friends and creating chaos at the dog park.

He’s the most loyal and loving dog. I got SO lucky. He’s 2.5 - Lab/Staffy/Boxer mix. I got him from CCR in Feb 2022.
